| Orthotics are a vital part of the
equipment that athletes need in order to compete at their full
potential. Sports activities can place unusually high levels
of pressure and stress on the feet which orthotics can help
alleviate. The reduction in fatigue and the maximized biomechanical
function that orthotics provide act to enhance athletic activity.
Noticeable advantages include increased agility, motion control,
and shock absorption. We have a variety of different sports
orthotics to aid the athlete: Allsport, Ski/Skate, Court, Golf,
Marathoner, and Professional Sport Types (Baseball, Basketball,
Cycling, Football, Hockey, Soccer, Skiing, Tennis, etc.). |

RUNNERS
Running shoes are not designed for an individual's foot,
they are designed for everyone's feet which can cause problems.
Runners place an enormous amount of stress on their body which
can cause problems in the feet, knees, legs, hips and low
back, and if their shoes do not fit properly, the stress can
be compounded. Orthotic therapy is essential to dissipating
the problems created by running and for promoting optimum
performance and comfort. There are two types of orthotics
available for runners, the Allsport (for general runners),
and the Marathoner (for those who run 10-15 miles per day).
See our list of recommended
running shoes.

CYCLERS
There are huge technical demands associated with cycling.
It is a sport where even the most minor advantage can help
win a race. Just like a lighter bike frame or more powerful
shocks, orthotics help improve performance. Orthotics provide
more efficient delivery of power to the pedal, maximizing
the transfer of energy and minimizing leg fatigue.
- Cyclers commonly suffer from forefoot pain, hot foot,
and knee pain. The knee pain in particular is often a result
of excessive pronation which causes arch collapse.

GOLFERS
Orthotics are beneficial to the golfer as they redistribute
weight more evenly, stabilize the feet when swinging, and make
the feet less prone to fatigue. They also function in corrective
postural support which is of vital importance when attempting
to maintain a consistent and confident golf swing. The Golf
Orthotic provides the optimum in motion control to improve foot
and leg function without interfering with the golfer's contralateral
foot movements needed when swinging the golf club. |

SKIIERS/SKATERS
Ski Boots and Skates, like running shoes, are not designed
for the individual's foot, they are designed for the "average"
foot. Orthotics are designed specifically for each person. The
Ski/Skate orthotics offer excellent shock absorption and just
the right amount of control and flexibility to allow normal
pronation so the skier/skater can drive forward. Skaters will
find better blade control through turns and stops. It is also
cut narrower to fit into the narrow confines of the ski boot/skate.

RACQUET SPORTS
In racquet sports there is a lot of lateral and medial movement
which can cause foot, ankle and knee pain. Court Orthotics
supply foot protection, shock absorption and the ultimate
in motion control to improve foot and leg function.

FIELD SPORTS
Players of field sports such as soccer, field hockey, and football
can benefit from custom orthotics. Orthotics help in achieving
better edge and ball control while minimizing the risk of ankle
related injuries. |
BASEBALL
The squatting and leaning positions maintained in baseball tend
to cause heel, arch and knee pain which can be alleviated by
custom orthotics. |

BASKETBALL
Basketball puts heavy strain on the feet. Jumping up and down
to shoot the basketball pushesdown your weight on your feet
with a stronger force. |
