Gait And Pressure Analysis

As a person walks across the Footmaxx proprietary sensor mat,960 electronic measurement points scan the foot in motion 30 times per second to determine the exact pattern of weight distribution throughout the stride. This information is displayed on the monitor as a graphic two-dimensional or three-dimensional image. The entire scan process takes only minutes.

The patient data is sent, via modem, to the Footmaxx diagnostic and manufacturing facility. Once at the lab, the patient data is analysed by Footmaxx diagnostic software. A Gait Analysis report is prepared and the exact custom orthotic needed is specified.

Gait and Pressure Analysis Reports contain diagnostic statements about the foot biomechanics of the patient based on the analysis of 8 key landmark points which are isolated and tracked throughout the stance phase. The 8-point graph, 2D and 3D images contain in this report complement the diagnostic statement and make this report a valuable part of the permanent patient record.
